Driving from Vancouver take Highway # 1 west to Hope and Cache Creek (or Highway # 5-The Coquihalla). Then Highway # 97 north through Cariboo Country to Quesnel. From Quesnel take Highway # 26 east to Wells and Barkerville. Entering Wells, turn left on Pooley Street to the bright yellow building of The Wells Hotel. (Note: roads are paved all the way)

Aside from driving to us directly, the following methods are available: Central Mountain Air scheduled air service into Quesnel, Prince George and Williams Lake (see www.flycma.com), Greyhound bus service into Quesnel (www.greyhound.ca), and VIA Rail into Prince George (www.viarail.ca). Alas, Wells does not have its own bus service, and all of the foregoing require you to rent a vehicle from Quesnel or Prince George, hire a taxi from Quesnel, or arrange transport to Wells via the Hotel. The latter is not guaranteed, but please call us to see what we can arrange.
